Vic Matie
Made in italy shoes and accessories, enter in our global store. “VIC MATIĒ represents those who express their personality and taste through fashion and use it to define their uniqueness, liberating themselves from pre-established models and declaring their freedom to be who they want to be. Those who choose Vic Matiē reveal their identity through style.” This is how Silvia Curzi, creative director of VIC MATIĒ, introduces the creative mood for the SS22 collection whose inspiration is intimately linked to the origins of design and to a creative process dedicated to making beauty and quality usable on a large scale. “The guiding principle in designing the collections is to create beautiful and refined things that can be used and enjoyed for a long time. For VIC MATIĒ, the idea of pieces worn only once has never been synonymous with luxury and today it is an absolutely anachronistic concept. I aspire to create designed pieces, footwear and accessories, to be enjoyed by the client at any time of day, year after year. The claim #yourlifeisyourchoice, printed on some footwear and accessories, clearly expresses the concept of the new Spring/Summer 2022 collection and clearly reveals the state of mind of VIC MATIĒ and its clientele. Our daily choices define who we are and what our dreams are, and it is our daily actions that shape the reality we will live in tomorrow. The claim is a suggestion to action, and reminds us that even through an apparently insignificant gesture such as the purchase of a shoe or a bag, we can take a stand on what is happening around us. Sustainability, ethics, inclusiveness are immense concepts that individuals can approach through small daily actions. One of these is certainly how we make purchases, because what we choose to buy makes a difference. Every single piece in the collection is designed according to the idea that beauty is responsibility towards oneself and others, a simple daily gesture, that can be interpreted by each individual in many ways. Choosing a brand means embracing a point of view and adhering to a vision because it represents one's ethics and uniqueness."
