stuart weitzman
Stuart Weitzman has been inspired by the confidence, boldness, and strength of women since 1986. With meticulous attention to detail and the historic craftsmanship of our Spanish artisans, we create stunning shoes that are distinguished by style and comfort. We put ourselves in the shoes of the women who wear our designs to understand what they want and need. We stay up-to-date and set trends while remaining true to our iconic silhouettes. In this way, our shoes are inspirational and invite those who wear them to walk with confidence with every step. According to our founder, Stuart Weitzman, a beautiful shoe is useless unless it offers comfort equal to its beauty. Born in 1941 in Long Island, New York, Stuart Weitzman grew up learning from his father, Seymour Weitzman, at the Mr. Seymour shoe factory in Haverhill, Massachusetts. In 1989, he launched the eponymous brand. Since then, most of the Stuart Weitzman collections have been crafted in Elda, Spain, a small town in the province of Alicante known for its shoemaking craftsmanship. As one of the few designers who is also a skilled pattern maker, he quickly became known for his shoes, which perfectly combine style and functionality. Today, Stuart Weitzman shoes are synonymous with style and comfort. In 2017, Stuart retired after more than fifty years in the footwear industry. Currently, the Stuart Weitzman brand is part of Tapestry, a New York-based house of brands.
