JACOB COHEN DONNA
Jacob Cohën jeans were born with a precise idea: to be the first luxury denim, to be worn even on more formal occasions. A luxury that has never been seen in the world of casual, and which combines Italian manufacturing skill with the highest quality of denim fabrics, with infinite comfort and creativity, and together with refined stylistic research. Obsessive attention to detail, precious touches such as jeweled buttons, tailoring finishes, unique straps in fine materials: each Jacob Cohën jeans travels with an Italian pedigree and a cosmopolitan passport. And that's why each Jacob Cohën is truly special: a classic, but collectible. Each Jacob Cohën jeans is the result of a long series of steps, but the real result exceeds the simple sum of the addends. Like when the same dish is prepared by different chefs. Or the same book is read by different people. In the Jacob Cohën laboratories there are those who draw, those who cut, those who sew, those who embroider: in an infinite series of essential steps. And then there are those who wear it. And, as in a kiss, it is not just a matter of chemistry, but of love. In every Jacob Cohën garment there is passion, dedication, attention, research. It's love. This is how the idea of luxury of Jacob Cohën jeans was really born: It all starts from a drawing, from a model, which in turn becomes an infinite series of measurements, codes, lengths and proportions. What was once paper pattern design today becomes, in the companies that work for Jacob Cohën, one of the most technologically advanced processes. Once the model has been digitized, it is broken down into different parts which are projected with a laser onto the fabric, lining or denim. Each cut is of thousandth precision. The cutting of denim, for example, is carried out with the latest generation machinery: once the models have been scanned, a sharp blade cuts approximately 50 layers of denim, pressed together to eliminate any air bubbles. The result is not only perfect in terms of yield, but ideal and necessary to avoid wasting fabric. Only highly specialized workers can operate these machines, the best on the market.
