Umbria is the place where the brand's aesthetic originates and develops, strongly infused with the sense of introspective spirituality inherent in its cultural heritage. The nature of Umbria has always influenced the choice of palettes rich in subtle and elegant shades, sober yet deep and varied: pure tones that light up with unexpected touches of color. Fabiana Filippi was born in Giano dell’Umbria in 1985, thanks to the entrepreneurial spirit of the Filippi Coccetta family, still at the helm of the company today. The world of knitwear immediately became the brand's reference universe, offering a sophisticated, elegant interpretation with contemporary appeal yet aspiring to endure over time. The result is a collection that season after season combines the most sophisticated craftsmanship with a vision attentive to the desires of the global market, a creative paradigm that translates into authentic and spontaneous femininity, characterized by an introspective and subtly romantic vein. Gradually, while maintaining a specific focus on its own values and aesthetic codes, in the early 2000s, the brand expanded its offer by proposing a complete wardrobe, designed to adapt effortlessly to the diverse needs of everyday life. Taking a further step in its evolutionary process, the Italian company in 2023 entrusted the Creative Direction of its collections to Lucia De Vito. Through continuous dialogue between fashion, art, and design, the Creative Director evolves and expands Fabiana Filippi's reference lexicon, in a spirit of continuity and coherence with the brand's DNA, opening up to new stimuli, inspirations, and relevant and current cultural references. Excellence materials, essential and sophisticated design, and constant attention to detail continue to be the cornerstones of Fabiana Filippi's style, which today operates in over 60 countries, through a wholesale network of 700 points of sale worldwide, including department stores and the most exclusive boutiques. At the same time, the brand relies on a solid and prestigious retail network, with stores in the most important international luxury destinations, including the flagship store in Milan designed by Patricia Urquiola. Respect for its original territory, whose nature has always inspired the brand's collections, has led the company to invest, starting in the 1990s, in knitting machinery that could minimize energy consumption and the accumulation of industrial waste. Since 2012, Fabiana Filippi has implemented an energy-saving program, including the installation of photovoltaic systems and the adoption of processes to optimize the use of energy resources. Furthermore, since 2014, the packaging, hangers, and labels of the garments have been exclusively made from recycled or recyclable materials. By 2022, the company has reached the production of 42% of its offerings from organic, upcycled, and certified materials. Fabiana Filippi adheres to the national program for assessing environmental impact and in 2021 launched a financial support project for the Umbrian local supply chain, aimed at promoting environmental protection in the region.
