Born as work shoes, loafers in the 1950s in the USA found their way into casual wardrobes, perfect for school uniforms and the preppy style. They became famous in Italy in the late 1970s, with their characteristic brushed leather, hand-sewn vamp, in penny or tassel variations. Elegant but never too serious, they have remained the same as only a classic can. Today they return to the streets with the same character and a distinctive design, encountering new shapes and colors with their indispensable comfort. Entirely Made in Italy, they are crafted by hand, with patient manual steps, such as the stitching of the vamp, sewn and knotted by hand. The upper is hand-painted entirely on the finished shoe, each X is unique, with small differences from all the others. The Presot leather sole, with the exclusive X pattern injected in rubber for better grip, is stitched with the prestigious Blake construction. Presot leather is elastic and flexible, it ages without damage. The raw material comes from GMO-free pastures and not from intensive farming, and is preserved solely with salt. The production process is traced, allowing to trace back the origin of the components of the transformation at any time, for a completely green processing. Nothing is wasted, the residual salt becomes antifreeze for the roads, the scraps of raw material are destined for regeneration. Vegetable-tanned leather retains the memory of what it was and absorbs traces of the wearer's experiences.
