Gennaro Dargenio was born in Barletta in 1970, a city on the north coast of Puglia. At just 17 years old, he took his first steps in his entrepreneurial career in the textile sector, establishing himself as a producer of knitted fabrics. There, he developed a deep understanding of materials, their construction, and how they react to processing and dyeing. It was during this time that the seed of the most important project of his life began to germinate within him. In 2008, Gennaro Dargenio had an extraordinary idea: to create a jacket entirely made of sweatshirt fabric. It was an immediate success. No one had ever dared to think of combining elegance with the concept of comfort, which until then had been the exclusive prerogative of sportswear. From that moment, what would soon be baptized as the Easy Jacket, the story of Circolo 1901, came to life. Today, the brand boasts an international presence in the best boutiques, and its total look men's/women's collections are worn worldwide. A continuously growing reality, its mission is to expand into new markets and engage a younger and more dynamic target audience by investing in marketing, communication, research, and development activities. A little over a decade has passed, but the company's statement remains the same: to be simple, elegant, authentic without ever sacrificing comfort.
