The Italian shoe and sneaker company BUTTERO takes its name from the butteri, Italian cowboys who roamed on horseback through the hills of our region, Tuscany. But we are a modern brand. Founded in 1974 by Mauro Sani, who decided to create the world's best riding boots, Buttero is still run by the Sani family: three generations working together to create unique handmade shoes. Our aim is to keep alive the traditions of Tuscan shoe craftsmanship. Our shoes are assembled by skilled artisans, the best in their field. We have proudly preserved our artisanal manufacturing process since the beginning. We are confident that you can wear your Buttero shoes all day, every day, season after season - we use the finest vegetable-tanned leathers, which age beautifully.
