BLUMARINE

The Blumarine brand (born in 1977) is part, together with Blugirl (1995) and Anna Molinari (1995), of the Italian fashion house Blufin Spa, founded in Carpi by spouses Anna Molinari and Gianpaolo Tarabini. It was 1977 when the Molinari-Tarabini couple created this luxury brand for women's ready-to-wear in the province of Modena. The name “Blumarine” comes from the union of the couple's favorite color and their love for the sea. Eight years after the first Milan fashion show, in 1980, the couple founded the Blufin group and then opened the first boutique in Milan in via della Spiga. The brand grows and expands, so much so that in 1995 the new "Anna Molinari" line designed by her daughter Rossella Tarabini was produced and a youth brand "Blugirl" also saw the light. In 2006, after the death of Gianpaolo Tarabini, his son Gianguido took the reins of the family business. In November 2019, Blufin was entirely acquired by the founder and president of Liu Jo, Marco Marchi, and became part of the Eccellenze Italiane holding, but Anna Molinari will remain in the role of ambassador of its brands.
