Barba Napoli
In 1965, Antonio Barba decided to open a small artisanal workshop for shirt production on the outskirts of Naples, driven by his deep love for what he considered the symbol of male elegance: the shirt. His attention to impeccable craftsmanship, following the traditions of the Neapolitan school, was appreciated by those who preferred to wear tailored garments that fit like a second skin. Initially, shirts were tailored only for a selected and limited clientele, mainly consisting of the Neapolitan elite. In 1999, production underwent a significant boost with the introduction of handmade ties, an accessory deeply rooted in the tradition of Neapolitan tailoring, which enjoyed immediate success. In the company, a production system was developed that skillfully combined craftsmanship and mechanization. Artisanal know-how was studied in every detail and applied to a meticulous manufacturing process, where each tailor played their role in creating the garment. Between 2004 and 2010, efforts were made to develop an international brand that represented an authentic lifestyle. The offering expanded to include jackets, coats, trousers, knitwear, and a wide range of accessories bearing the BARBA Napoli signature, all expressions of the most authentic Made in Italy, blending style and craftsmanship. This was the same principle that inspired the creation of the women's collection. The brand interprets the needs of contemporary dressing with current and innovative men's and women's collections that combine classic elegance with high product quality and the use of contemporary fabrics. The entrepreneurial project is opening up to new generations, but remains faithful to the philosophy on which the company was founded: preserving craftsmanship and Neapolitan taste with proposals of timeless appeal.
